Who are we?
The Læsø Art and Culture Foundation is a commercial foundation dedicated to supporting and promoting the development, awareness, and dissemination of Læsø’s rich artistic and cultural heritage.
One of our main efforts is the Læsø AiR residency program, which provides visual artists with opportunities for immersion, creative work, and networking.
The foundation holds usage rights to the former homes and studios of renowned Danish artists Per Kirkeby and Asger Jorn, and is committed to preserving, developing, and sharing the story of their lives and artistic legacy on Læsø – an essential part of the Læsø AiR experience.
Who may apply?
Professional International and Nordic* visual artists may apply for residency. To apply, applicants must have completed a relevant artistic educational program or have documented experience within professional artistic contexts.
*Applicants must be citizens of or living in one of the following countries: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, or the Faroe Islands.
To foster exchanges between Nordic and foreign artists, Læsø AiR will due to spatial conditions primarily accept applications from individual artists.
